Curriculum Vitae
Bian He, Major in Meteorology, research fellow of Institute of Atmospheric Physics. My research interests include Tibetan Plateau and Asian monsoon dynamics, global climate change, and atmospheric circulation model development, evaluation, and application. Clarifying the mechanism of the formation and variation of the Asian summer monsoon driven by the large topographic dynamics and thermal forcing over Asia, deepen the understanding of the feedback of precipitation to the atmospheric circulation, and revealing the mechanism of the condensation latent heat heating in the Asian monsoon region affecting the climate change over the Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas as well as the global climate change. Based on the PV framework, a new index representing the thermal forcing of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is proposed. As a key member of the model team, I developed, evaluated, and applied the atmospheric model F/SAMIL and its coupled version FGOALS- S/F for a long time, improved the overall simulation performance of the model, and completed multiple core simulations for the CMIP5 and CMIP6 projects. I have won the Young Talent Award of Computational Earth Science of Inspur Group, Tsinghua University. Outstanding Application Award of Tianhe-2 Supercomputer; AAS Best Paper Award; Scientific and technological Innovation Contribution Award of Atmospheric Institute. I was selected as a member of laboratory for Young Scientists, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Reviewer of IPCC Sixth Assessment Report Working Group I. I have been invited to serve as A reviewer for JGR-A, JC, CD, IJC, SR, ASL and Atmospheric Science. By March 2022, I have published more than 60 papers, which have been cited more than 2000 times by Google Scholar.
